Jonghyun ne sait pas nager. Pourtant elle s’est mise à l’eau, et elle a même accepté de poser pour moi, pour que je capture son rapport à l’eau , un état entre joie, abandon et peur. Jonghyun aime l’eau et elle n’a pas peur d’y rentrer malgré le fait qu’elle ne sache pas nager, elle s’est poussée chaque jour en fin d’après midi pour apprendre, refaire les mouvements appris il y a longtemps puis oubliés. Elle est même allée au dessus du plus profond, sur un matelas gonflable, on l’a faite glisser sur l’eau et elle a frissonné bien sûr, mais aussi ri avec nous. Ça me touche parce que je ne sais pas si moi, j’aurai le cran de me mettre à l’eau si je ne savais pas la dompter. Ça me fait penser à toutes ces choses qu’on s’interdit parce qu’on ne les maîtrise pas. Et il y a des gens comme Jonghyun qui font confiance, à elle-même et à des ami-e-s pour être là si besoin, et qui se lancent 🌿
Jonghyun doesn’t know how to swim. However, she decided to go inside the fresh water of this pool,
and even pose for me so I can capture her relationship with water, a delicate state between pure joy, fear and abandon.
She just likes water, and is just not efraid to dive in, even if she doesn’t know how to swim.
Seeing this, capturing this with my eyes and camera touched a part of me.
Why ? Because I’m not sure that I would dare to go in a water I can’t control.
It made me think about all those things we don’t do because we don’t have control over them, or don’t have the skills we think we need to start.
And in the end it made me realize how some people like Jonghyun are confident enough to trust themselves and also others to help them if needed, and just dive in 🌿 Those people are rare, and inspiring. Don’t you think ?
